When I arrived in the morning on Mosquito, a private British Virgin Island, North of Virgin Gorda. Everyone was buzzing around with eager anticipation for the day. Eighty of Sally and Olly’s family and friends flew in from England to celebrate their gorgeous British, Island-Style Wedding. Their entire day was a stunning blend of Caribbean island culture with woven-in fine wedding traditions. A steel drum band followed by gospel singers played and sang as guests took their seats, many wore beautiful large hats and floral head pieces. I couldn’t help, but wonder how they managed to look so fabulous even after the 30 minute boat ride to get to Moskito. Following their beautiful beach ceremony, guests were guided through the day with pops of entertainment, champagne and island cocktails flowing, lunch served with hilarious and teary, heart-felt speeches from Olly, his best men and Sally’s Father. Once the toasts were raised and the cigars lit, 90 shots poured ready to kick off the pool party shenanigans. Attire quickly became swimwear w/cocktail in hand and Jay Negril, London/Virgin Islands based DJ literally turned up the party.
Sally and Olly, thank you so much for the honor of documenting your first day as husband and wife. Your wedding was beyond perfect it was so much fun and I wish you two nothing, but the very best as you continue on your adventure together. Much Love and Appreciation – Savanah
